Dr. Orsini’s commitment to the field of oncology led to the opening of the first dedicated oncology unit in the North Jersey area at the Clara Maass Medical Center, where he is director of oncology. In 2013, he was appointed to the University Hospital Board of Directors and serves on the Quality Care, Strategic Planning, Audit, and Governance and Ethics Committees. His work in Italy led to the publication of one of the first medical reports on the adjuvant treatment of node-negative breast cancer with systemic chemotherapy. His efforts were recognized and rewarded by the dedication of the Camera di Benessere (Room of Healing) by a grateful Mr. Bocelli at the Clara Maass Medical Center. Dr. Orsini continues to travel to Italy regularly for consultative work.
